The Google Toolbar always queries a server known as toolbarqueries.google.com.
You can trick the Google Toolbar into querying a Google server of your choice by configuring your local system to point toolbarqueries.google.com to a Google server of your choice.
This is done under most Operating Systems by editing the hosts file on your system and adding an entry to toolbarqueries.google.com.
The location of the hosts file varies on different Operating Systems:
